Up and down the Wood River Valley, sales of vacant land continue to steam ahead. In 2017, there was a 56% increase in vacant land sales over 2016 (153 vs 98 sales in 2016), and a 29% jump in sold dollar volume ($48 million vs $37 million in 2016). Nothing beats the sun-drenched days of spring. Spring skiing is the best, I like to think. We follow the sun as the mountain “goes off” finding corn snow, sugar snow, the margarita slush. I like to ski all day and then have a cold one at the end of it all. Everyone ventures out to play, especially in the afternoons when a band is playing and the keg o’ beer is flowing. There are many perks to living in our mountain town oasis besides the gorgeous scenery and abundant outdoor activities.
